What We Believe

Tenets of Our Faith

Our faith is rooted in the Word of God, centered on Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. These beliefs shape how we live and the message we proclaim.

Love and Unity Christian Fellowship

Faith With a Foundation

We believe God has revealed His truth through Scripture, made salvation available through Jesus Christ, and empowers believers through the Holy Spirit to live lives that honor Him.

What We Believe

The Word of God

WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.

The Trinity

WE BELIEVE that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

The Blessed Hope

WE BELIEVE in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.

Salvation

WE BELIEVE that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

Healing

WE BELIEVE that the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.

The Holy Ghost

WE BELIEVE that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.

Sanctification

WE BELIEVE in the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in the present world.

Jesus Is the Only Way

We affirm that there is one Saviour and one gospel. Salvation does not come through human knowledge, religion, philosophy, or good works. Salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone.

Jesus Christ is the only God-man, the only ransom for sinners, and the only mediator between God and humanity. There is no other name by which we must be saved.

God loves the world and desires that all would come to repentance. He invites every person to respond to Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord through repentance and faith.

The Free Gift of Eternal Life

Jesus Christ is the Messiah. The Old Testament prophets spoke of a Redeemer who would give His life for our transgressions.

God's love has been revealed through Jesus Christ. We have all sinned and fallen short of God's glory, but through His grace we can be justified freely through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again according to the Scriptures. Salvation is God's gift from beginning to end.

Isaiah 53:1–6 · John 3:16–17 · Hebrews 5:9 · Matthew 7:13–14 · Romans 3:23–27 · 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 · Ephesians 2:8–10

How Do I Respond?

The message of the gospel calls each of us to respond personally.

You must be born again. — John 3:3–7

Repent and believe in Jesus Christ. — Romans 10:9–10

Call upon the name of the Lord. — Romans 10:13

Jesus Christ Is Lord

Jesus Christ has been exalted above every name. We look forward to the day when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

A Prayer of Faith

God, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask You to forgive me of my sins. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross, was buried, and rose from the dead. I repent today and receive Jesus Christ into my heart as my Saviour and Lord. I receive Your gift of salvation by faith in what Jesus has done for me. Thank You, Lord, for Your precious gift. Amen.
